Happy Birthday to one of our favorite gals, Miss Joan Blondell! In her 50 years in front of the camera, she appeared in over 100 flicks, many of them true classics: “The Public Enemy”, “Gold Diggers of 1933”, “Footlight Parade”, “A Tree Grows in Brooklyn”, “Desk Set”, “Will Success Spoil Rock Hunter?”, “The Cincinnati Kid”, right up to the end with her scene stealing turn in “Grease”. Amazing to think she only copped one Oscar nomination for her lovely turn in “The Blue Veil”.
